How to display a timeline?

Since I got assigned to the Industries of the blind project, I thought it would be a good idea to research timelines for inspiration of how we will display the company's history.

At Suffolk university law school, they use a timeline as an architectural divide that directs circulation.

This timeline incorporates artifacts as well, which could be useful in displaying the products made at IOB.
